1/2″ (12.7 mm) ToughRock® Fireguard 45® gypsum board applied vertically or horizontally to each side of 2” x 4” wood studs 24” (610 mm) o.c. with 1-3/8” (35 mm) phosphate coated nails spaced 12” (305 mm) o.c. Horizontal edge joints and horizontal butt joints on opposite side of studs need not be staggered. Sound Tested with 3-1/2” (89 mm) fiberglass insulation. Sound tested at fastener spacing 8″ o.c.
