Georgia-Pacific’s DensGlass® Sheathing was the first glass fibre mat faced, gypsum based board for use as a sheathing board externally. For over 30 years it has proved it is strong, highly moisture resistant, non-combustible and easy to install.

DensGlass® Sheathing is a high performance fiberglass mat gypsum sheathing board, with over 30 years of use. It’s available worldwide and is the #1 architectecturally specified product of its kind in the US1. DensGlass® Sheathing, with its recognizable Gold colour, has fiberglass mats for superior mould2 and moisture resistance compared to paper-faced sheathings. Strong, highly moisture resistant and with an A1 non combustible reaction to fire classification, DensGlass® Sheathing is the Gold standard.

1 Based upon survey of CMD Group project specifications from 01/Jan/17 – 31/Dec/2017
2 When tested, as manufactured, in accordance with ASTM D3273, DensGlass Sheathing has scored a 10, the highest level of performance for mould resistance under the ASTM D3273 test method.
The score of 10, in the ASTM D3273 test, indicates no mould growth in a 4-week controlled laboratory test. The mould resistance of any building product when used in actual job site conditions may not produce the same results as were achieved in the controlled,  laboratory setting. No material can be considered mould proof. When properly used with good design, handling and construction practices, Dens® Brand gypsum products provide increased mould resistance compared to standard paper-faced wallboard.
