DensDeck® Prime Roof Boards
- DensDeck® Prime Roof Boards includes coated glass mat facers that offer increased membrane bond strength for adhered applications, and with the addition of EONIC™ Technology, also provides enhanced mat-to-core bond (when compared to DensDeck® Prime Roof Boards), providing the following benefits:
- Maximum 5% total water absorption by weight
- 1-gram nominal surface water absorption on both the front and back of the board
- For fully adhered, partially adhered and mechanically fastened assemblies
- Rigid board protection for insulation
- Noncombustible gypsum panel with zero flame spread and zero smoke developed when tested in accordance with ASTM E84
- Provides enhanced wind uplift resistance
- Improves hail resistance of the roof assembly and is FM classified for severe hail (SH)
- Resists punctures that occur from things like maintenance foot traffic or dropped tools
- Available in 1/4″ (6.4mm), 1/2″ (12.7mm) and 5/8″ (15.9mm) thicknesses, 4 foot widths and 4 or 8 foot lengths.
- When used as a cover board, DensDeck®️ Prime Roof Board provides increased resistance to puncture damage of the roof membrane.
Product Details
DensDeck®️ Prime Roof Board provides enhanced moisture resistance and is recommended for mechanically fastened, adhered and partially adhered roofing systems. It provides an ideal bonding surface for roofing membranes, as well as air/vapor retarders. DensDeck® Prime Roof Board continues to provide a broader compatibility and higher performance with roofing adhesives. With the addition of EONIC™️ Technology, a patent-protected enhancement, DensDeck® Prime Roof Board has double the resistance to moisture in accordance with ASTM C1177. This enhancement helps defend your roof, better protect the integrity of your roofing assembly, and safeguard the contents inside your structure. It offers 5% water absorption resistance by weight, and 1-gram nominal surface water absorption performance on both sides of the board.
