Chip Wade is an Emmy Award-winning host, designer, and executive producer. So, when it came time to design and construct his own residence near the Pinhoti Trail in the mountains of northern Georgia, he knew fellow industry pros and fans alike would look to his choice of materials, expecting the modern custom home to showcase the best of the best.

That’s why Wade partnered with Georgia-Pacific for high-performance, integrated WRB/AB gypsum sheathing, specifying DensElement® Barrier System and DensDefy® Liquid Flashing for the walls. *
Wade was confident these products could help protect the home from a building science perspective, addressing concerns about fire, water, and unwanted air movement.

As both architect and general contractor, Wade had full control over which products to specify and could directly oversee the installation. Noting the system’s innovation and the added benefit of continuity between all Georgia-Pacific products, Wade appreciated having the ability to use one set of building products from the same manufacturer to help keep out the elements.

Beyond a top-notch WRB/AB, Wade and his team were impressed by how easy it was to install DensElement Barrier System, as well as by how responsive the technical team was throughout the entire process from initial design to installation and project completion.

Relying on building products at the pinnacle of innovation, Chip Wade expects Pinhoti Peak to stand the test of time.
